Privacy Policy for Supernotes

At SuperNotes, we are committed to protecting your privacy. The app is currently designed to work offline, storing all data locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit personal data without your consent. However, as we grow, we are preparing to introduce new cloud-based features that may require account creation and online data handling.
1. No Account Required (Current)
As of now, SuperNotes does not require account registration or sign-in. You can use all core features without sharing your name, email, or other personal data.
2. Local-Only Storage (Current)
All notes are stored only on your device. We do not access, sync, or upload your data to the cloud at this time.
3. Foreground Service for Quick Notes
We use a foreground service to allow instant note-taking from the notification panel. This runs in the background to improve responsiveness. No user data is sent or stored externally.
4. Biometric Lock (System Authentication)
SuperNotes supports locking notes using your device’s biometric authentication (fingerprint, face unlock). This is handled securely by your system and never transmitted or stored by us.
5. Crash Reporting & Performance Monitoring
To improve app quality, we use:
- Firebase Crashlytics – for crash diagnostics
- Firebase Performance Monitoring – to measure app speed
These tools may collect non-personal, anonymized data like:
- Device type and OS version
- Performance logs (e.g., screen load time)
- Crash/error messages
This data does not include your notes or personal identifiers.
We may send notifications to:
- Announce new features or updates
- Remind you to use the app
These use native OS push services and involve no personal data collection. You may disable notifications in your device settings.
In upcoming versions, SuperNotes may show non-personalized ads. If ads or analytics require personal or behavioral data, we will clearly ask for your explicit consent and update this policy accordingly.
8. Future Features & Data Use (Planned)
We are working on optional cloud-based features, including:
- Account creation & login
- Online sync and backup
- Cloud storage of notes
- Real-time editing and collaboration
- Note sharing via public/private links
These features will be opt-in, and any data collected will be protected with end-to-end security and clearly explained before activation. A separate Data Use Consent prompt will be presented when these features launch.
SuperNotes is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as we roll out new features. The most recent version will always be available in the app and on our website. We will update the Effective Date accordingly.
